Another EcoAdvisor makes it to OnlyGreen Founder Status!

OnlyGreen is proud to welcome Susan Schiering, from Ohio, as the latest addition to the OnlyGreen Founders Club. Susie is a very determined, hard working EcoAdvisor who came into OnlyGreen with a clear idea of what she wanted and went for it! She shares a fantastic outlook and drive for the future with those around her, as well as with those of us here at Head Office!

OnlyGreen's First Gold Level EcoAdvisor!!

We are very proud to officially announce that Michelle and Kris Harvey, from Alberta are the first EcoAdvisor to reach Gold level. This is truly an exciting accomplishment for them, as well as for those of us at the OnlyGreen Head Office! We have watched as Michelle and Kris have worked hard to grow their business and build their team. We knew it was only a matter of time before they reached this goal.

What do you feed your four legged friends?

They are at the door to greet us when we get home. They curl up at our feet or make themselves at home on our laps. They are trusting, loving and dependable. For many pet owners, their furry friends are valued members of the family. So why don’t we pay better attention to what we feed them every day?

It’s tricky when we have major pet food companies promoting a “premium” or “healthy” choices that we’re supposed to be able to trust. The truth however, is that the pet food industry has been built on scraps, waste, chemical preservatives and animal by-product based fillers.

Here’s the dirty facts and be warned, this next part is disgusting. Some of the most common ingredients in pet treats and food are hydrolyzed (pressure treated) poultry feathers and hair, dried swine or poultry waste. They add to that a variety of chemical preservatives such as butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) and propylene glycol (also used as automotive antifreeze).

When we decided on the materials and ingredients for OnlyGreen’s Pet Care Line, all aspects of safety and health were taken into account. With the OnlyGreen pet treats, ingredients for the optimal health of each variety of pet were evaluated and blended accordingly. A New OnlyGreen Founder!

We are tremendously proud and excited to welcome Tanis Danyluk as our newest EcoAdvisor to reach Founder status. Over the past couple of months, we at OnlyGreen Head Office have seen Tanis work extremely hard to reach this goal. She showed a great level of understanding for the business as well as a passion for the products offered with OnlyGreen.

The word 'organic' is not always a good thing.

Ever heard of volatile organic compounds? It’s not exactly a household term, but rest assured, it is likely present in the majority of your household cleaners.

Volatile organic compounds, or VOCs as they are more commonly referred to, are gases and vapors which contain carbon and evaporate quickly into the air around you. VOCs are most often found in items such as paints, inks, pesticides and cleaning products. VOCs even have the ability to off-gas from solid objects such as bedding and linens or furniture.

Aside from their nasty habit of contributing heavily to air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, exposure to VOCs can also cause breathing problems, headaches, dizziness and nausea. When exposed to higher amounts, these compounds can even increase the rate of asthma attacks and aggravate symptoms of pulmonary diseases.
